Hi there Caitlyn,
Welcome back to planDisney and thank you for this question! I'm so happy to hear that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort for you and your family to make new magical memories together.
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) is intended for Guests who, due to a developmental disability such as autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time. It's such a helpful tool for Guests and their families to experience a welcoming and inclusive environment when visiting the Happiest Place on Earth!
When I've spoken to Cast Members about this program, they have said that it applies to direct family members of the Guest who is registering for the pass (brothers, sisters, and parents), but I always like to add that each situation is unique, so make sure to register and the Cast Members will walk you through the process.
I would encourage you to
register for the program before you arrive, which you can do via live video chat as soon as 30 days prior to your visit. That way, you can get all the information you need to plan for your visit. There are also some really helpful tools and resources on the
Accessibility page of the Disneyland Resort website.
Thank you again for your question, Caitlyn! I hope you and your family have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
