Supposed I want to Disneyland with my friend Suzanne, and have autism, how does the new DAS policy work as she is a friend, not an immediate family member? Thanks

Hi there Doan!  Thanks for bringing your great question to planDisney!

Disability Access Service (DAS) supports Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort who have difficulty waiting in a conventional queue for an extended period of time due to a developmental disability such as autism or similar.  There is still the unwavering commitment to providing an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all Guests during their visit.

I highly recommend exploring all of the resources on the Disneyland site as well as meeting virtually with a Cast Member as soon as 30 days in advance of your visit.  It will be a live video chat, and the Cast Member will have an individual conversation with you on your unique situation including members of your party.  There is also a helpful section of Frequently Asked Questions that are useful to read as well.

If you're looking to visit this summer, I highly recommend visiting during the celebration of friendship and beyond, Pixar Fest!  I'm excited to experience the Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular at Disneyland Park, and sample some of the tasty creations over at the Festival Marketplaces at Disney California Adventure Park.

I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip, Doan!  I'm happy to help with any other questions you may have, so don't hesitate to come back and ask.

    Have a magical day!
