My husband and I are annual passholders. We’ll be staying on grounds with family and want to be able to link tickets AND still be able to change parks and multi pass selections for ourselves. We have to make park reservations & they don’t, true?

    Hello Carole,

Thanks for bringing your question our way. I'm happy to help you make the most of your family trip next year!

As Annual Passholders, you and your husband will need to make theme park reservations for most visits, based on the current policies. The only exceptions are Good-to-Go Days or if you plan to visit after 2 p.m., excluding Magic Kingdom Park on weekends.

Since you are staying on-site as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest, you can make reservations for each day of your stay without using the reservation allotment associated with your Annual Pass. I am a Disney Sorcerer Passholder, which allows for a maximum of 5 theme park reservations at a time, but when I'm staying on-site I'm able to make reservations for each day of my resort stay. Be sure to link your resort stay to your MyDisney Account and select the option for "Annual Passholders with a Hotel Reservation" when making your reservations.

If you'd like to purchase Lightning Lane Passes during your trip and enjoy attractions with the other members of your family, you can certainly do so. You'll first need to connect everyone via the Family & Friends list and can then include them in your party when making selections. Keep in mind that when purchasing for a group your initial 3 selections must be the same across your party. However, you can go back to modify an experience, time, or party members, subject to availability, after booking. Check out some step-by-step instructions for modifying here.

You can designate one person to purchase and schedule selections for your entire group, or split up your family into smaller planning parties. You may not get the same return times when booking as separate parties, but you can look for overlapping 1-hour windows and plan your entry at the same time. It's my understanding that you should have access to modify your own experiences within the My Disney Experience Mobile App, even if another member of your group made the initial selections. If you have any trouble you can always visit the Guest Experience Team in the parks for troubleshooting.

I hope this clears up any confusion, Carole. If you have additional questions please come back and see us again or reach out to a Cast Member by phone or online chat.

    Wishing you a magical visit!
