Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question! I know that sometimes staying connected while being disconnected on your vacation is important, so I did a bit of behind-the-scenes research for you.
On a recent cruise aboard Disney Magic, my husband needed to get some work done. He usually utilizes a hotspot for his internet service, but he was unable to connect while at sea. Instead, he used the Disney Cruise Line Premium Surf internet package (available for an additional fee). So, to confirm your ability to use a hotspot on Disney Wish, I reached out to Disney Cruise Line and the shoreside Cast Member. Unfortunately, he was not able to provide us with an exact answer but indicated that you most likely will not be able to use a hotspot and would need to use an
onboard internet package. So, what to do? Once onboard visit the
Guest Services Desk (Deck 4, Midship) to check if the wifi will allow you to create a hotspot connection before purchasing one of the
Internet Packages offered onboard. Remember, the internet service is for one device at a time, but you can log out of one device and onto another using the same package. If your hotspot is generated through your smartphone, keep in mind that you will need to contact your service provider for more information regarding
using your phone at sea.
