Hey there, and welcome to planDisney! We’re so happy you stopped by with your question. The monorail is more than just a way to get around. It’s an iconic Disney experience!
While the monorail does not provide entry into any theme park, there are stations directly outside the front gate at both
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT. That means you’ll be just a short walk away from the magic as soon as you step off the monorail!
There are three resort hotels serviced by the monorail, which include
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Each of these three resort hotels has a monorail stop on a loop that also includes Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). At the TTC, you can transfer to another monorail that will take you to EPCOT.
While you’re at Walt Disney World Resort,
complimentary transportation is available between each of the resorts and theme parks and to Disney Springs. Disney transportation includes buses, the monorail, boats, and the Disney Skyliner. It’s fun to try them all – my favorites are the boats and the
Skyliner!
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney! If you have any more questions as you plan your visit, be sure to come back and see us. We’re always here to help add extra magic to your Disney vacation planning!
Cheers for magical journeys ahead,
Casey
