Can you park at the Grand Floridian or the the Contemporary Hotel resort on the day of checkout to access magic kingdom?

    Hey there, Tammy!

I'm so happy to welcome you back to planDisney! It looks like we have something in common…we're both gearing up for summer visits to Walt Disney World. I’ll actually be there next week myself, and it sounds like your trip is just a few days away too. That pre-trip excitement while you’re counting down the days is such a fun feeling, isn’t it?

You’re considered a Guest at your Disney Resort for the entire day you check out. So if you’re staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, you can continue to park at the resort linked to your reservation on your departure day.

However, if you’re not staying at one of those resorts, you won’t be able to park at the resort after check-out. In that case, you’ll need to park at the Transportation & Ticket Center, and then take either the monorail or ferryboat to Magic Kingdom, since resort parking is reserved for Guests staying at that specific hotel.

Just a friendly reminder that Guests staying at a Disney Resort this summer will receive complimentary water park admission on their check-in day. It’s a fantastic way to kick off your vacation. Think of it as diving right into the magic with a big splash of fun!

Okay, Tammy. Now it’s time for that final double-check of your packing list to make sure you’ve got everything ready for your big trip! Don’t forget to toss in that extra pair of Minnie ears you’ve been debating about…you really can never have too many. Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,
