If I catch the Epcot monorail at Epcot, can I ride it all the way to the Magic Kingdom or do I have to get off and switch to a magic Kingdom monorail at the TTC?

    Howdy Lorraine!

Welcome to planDisney. The Walt Disney World Monorail is one of the most iconic transportation systems you can find. It was first introduced at Disneyland in 1959 and was the first of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. It is one of my favorite ways to travel while visiting, so let’s get to your questions so you can enjoy it as well.

So once you board the monorail at EPCOT, it will take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center, where you will have to disembark to take the other monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Another great option is to take in the amazing scenery on the ferry through the Seven Seas Lagoon. Either way is a phenomenal way to travel to the Magic Kingdom.

Since you will be there, I have to tell you about one of the best festivals of the year, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. You can embark on a culinary adventure across 6 continents, experiencing unique food, drinks, and desserts at kiosks all throughout the World Showcase. You can also experience the Eat to the Beat Concert series with performers you know and love. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updated information.

Lorraine, I hope you and your family have a magical time riding the monorail and experiencing Walt Disney World. Please stop by anytime with your questions, and a fellow panelist or I will be happy to help you.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
