Welcome to planDisney, Mary! You're just a few days away from embracing all of the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort! Pretty soon you'll be hopping from park to park, munching on some Mickey-shaped snacks, and living your best, pixie-dusted life! To make the most of your time, let's dig a little deeper into
Lightning Lane Multi Pass!
Mary, since you have the Park Hopper Option, you're eligible to book Lightning Lane Multi Pass at any of the four theme parks; if you've selected attractions for later in the day at your second destination, I would recommend arriving for rope drop at your first theme park to experience shorter wait times without Lightning Lane entries. This is actually a preferred strategy for many guests who park hop because early morning wait times do tend to be shorter for many attractions and experiences, especially if you're staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel and can take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry. The only setback is that you will not be able to select additional Lightning Lanes until you have redeemed your first pre-booked experience later in the day, which may limit availability for additional attractions.
If you've selected earlier times for another park and now realize that those times do not align with your plans, I would recommend going into your
My Disney Experience mobile app and trying to
modify your selections. You can modify your initial theme park selection to the park you will be visiting first if you prefer; if you do this, you will need to make all 3 of your initial selections at this new park. Once you've redeemed your first selection, you can modify the remaining selections to another theme park if you would like, and you can also book additional selections at any of the theme parks since you have a park hopper ticket, subject to availability.
Mary, I do find the value of park hopping with Lightning Lane Multi Pass to be great! On my most recent trip, I was able to redeem Lightning Lane entries at 3 different theme parks throughout the day. One other tip to remember is that you can also purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Pass entries for eligible attractions if you'd like! Combining these with Multi Pass while park hopping guarantees you'll be able to experience so many top attractions on the same day!
Mary, I hope this helps! The flexibility of the new Lightning Lane system makes it easier than ever to keep up with changing plans and ensure you have more time for magic and less time waiting in line! If you have any other questions before your trip, come back to
planDisney and let us know! We hope to see you again real soon!
Magic and Memories,
Alison
