When does the holiday festivities start at Disneyland

A warm hello to you, Wendy! I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney and thank you so much for dropping by with this question. I'm always eager to talk about the Holidays at Disneyland Resort because it truly is the merriest season of all!

This year, you'll find seasonal festivities across both Disneyland Resort theme parks, the Downtown Disney District and the three Disneyland Resort hotel properties beginning November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025. That's a lot of holly and jolly! Some of my favorite holiday experiences can be found at Disney California Adventure Park, where Guests can learn about global festivites that celebrate the holidays through live music and entertainment, festive foods, and seasonal decor that reflect a variety of diverse traditions. The Disney Festival of Holidays is definitely something that always tops our family's holiday wish list! Of course, no holiday visit would be complete without viewing a Christmas Fantasy Parade or boarding the 'happiest cruise that ever sailed,' holiday style! This delightful version of "it's a small world" Holiday is sure to warm hearts and set Guests in the spirit of the season! And, we didn't forget about old Saint Nick! You can meet Santa Claus at several locations around Disneyland Resort between November 15 - December 24 (because of course, he gets very busy that very night!)

Wendy, I hope this is a helpful start for all your holiday planning. Guests are often curious when the holiday decorations begin to appear around Disneyland Resort. I typically like to share that while the official holiday celebrations don't start until November 15, 2024, you may get lucky with the appearance of some garland along Main Street, U.S.A., or a holiday tree in the Disneyland Resort hotel lobbies even sooner. In my experience, as soon as the pumpkins and gourds make way, it's time for tinsel. So keep your eye out and enjoy every moment of your holiday celebrations at Disneyland Resort, Wendy! It's the most magical time of year to visit and I wish you and your loved ones an unforgettable trip. If we can help with anything else in the meantime, I welcome you to visit us again here at planDisney.

    Warm hugs,
    Tishra
