Why hello there Steven and welcome to planDisney!
As you prepare to hop across the pond for the spookiest season here at Walt Disney World Resort, I'm always happy to help any of our incredible international guests with their Halloween adventures! My husband and I are all about attractions, and making the most of the precious hours you get with any
Special Event tickets; part of this is being among that special group of folks who will ride whatever they can down to the last minute - or even beyond!
We tested this out at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party over the past few years and you'll be happy to hear that in most cases, Cast Members will let guests into the standby queue for
select rides and attractions right until the party ends at midnight
on the day that you indicated you'd be attending. It is however important to note that there are times that certain attractions may close earlier without prior notice at the discretion of the Cast Members and their leadership; I personally encountered a recent party experience where
Pirates of the Caribbean was no longer permitting guests to enter the standby queue several minutes prior to closing, so I wouldn't recommend chancing it to the last possible second.
On a separate evening we counted ourselves among some of the last few folks and families to make it to
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, which had been experiencing a bit of a temporary backup. (This resulted in us also being among the last few to depart Magic Kingdom Park, which was an eerily empty experience after dark!) If you're more keen on rides than on seeing the shows, some of the lowest waits we've experienced were during things like the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spell-tacular and especially
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular so that might be a great strategy to employ if you're looking to get as many ride-throughs as possible while beating the crowds!
I hope that this helps you plan ahead for a super fun night, Steven! Don't hesitate to come back to us here at planDisney for any other trips or tricks before you head over to Orlando!
May your party evening be efficient and enjoyable!
