Hi, We currently have a reservation for lunch at Akershus. Is it possible to add on or convert it to the candlelight processional dining package once they become available? Thank you!

Royal greetings, Jacqueline, and welcome to our palace known as planDisney. You'll be taking a carriage ride to Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season, so polish your holly-jolly tiara, and let's talk about dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

First, congratulations, Your Majesty, for securing a reservation at this most regal meal at EPCOT. You'll enjoy Norwegian-inspired family-style fare and rub elbows (and take photos!) with several of your favorite princesses.

Since the Candlelight Processional Dining Package details won't be announced until October 17, I can't give concrete information about making any changes to your current reservation. I know Akershus has been one of the locations for Candlelight Dining Packages in previous years, but we won't know for sure until reservations open the morning of October 17 around 6:00 a.m.

I suggest you hop online that morning and visit the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages page. Make a new reservation for the package and choose the performance you'd like to see that evening. Once this new reservation is confirmed, you can cancel the original reservation.

If the reservations are for the same meal period, you might be prompted to choose which one to keep. Please be sure to specify the dining package when making that choice. These reservations will be popular, so I recommend making the new booking as soon as possible.

The other option would be to call Disney Dining at (407) 939-7887 starting at 7:00 a.m. on October 17, and a friendly Cast Member will do their best to make that change for you. Please be sure to have your current reservation number handy when you call.

Although I'd love to try the Plant-based Bratwurst, meeting the princesses is the highlight of this experience. My tip is to make sure you get a chance to spend time with each princess. If you're finishing up and still haven't met one of your royal hostesses, let your server know so they can ensure your party has the full experience. Remember that the exact princesses you'll encounter are a bit of a pixie dust surprise!

Jacqueline, I hope your upcoming visit contains sparkling gowns and delicious food. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
