Gisela,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
Yes, you can request both
cribs and microwaves for your
Disney Resort Hotel room. The list of hotels that can honor this is
located here. In both cases, it is based on availability, but I have never encountered a time where I could not secure one.
On a recent trip with my family, we required access to a microwave for a medical need. We asked if a microwave could be placed in our room. The resorts only have a limited number of these available, but they were able to help us out, installing it in our room that first day. If you are not able to score one of those, there are also microwaves available in the resort’s food court restaurant.
How do you request a crib or a microwave? That is easy! When you are making your reservation there will be an area titled
"Room Amenities and Requests". You should see some options there. On one of our trips, I saw "crib", but not "microwave" as an option. No worries! Even if one of them is not listed there, you can call the Disney Resorts Reservation phone line at
(407) 934-7639, after making your reservation, and add the request. Be sure to have your reservation number handy!
BONUS TIP #1The sooner you put in the request, the higher up the list of available items you will be. So call right away.
BONUS TIP #2When you are in the parks, you might want to know that each theme park has a
Baby Care Center. These wonderful locations are a complimentary resource for parents, and they include nursing rooms, changing tables, as well as relaxing, lowkey areas for children to compose themselves before returning to their active day.
