Hello Leanne!
Welcome to planDisney. As a fellow creative spirit and accessory fan, I just
love this question!
If you are looking to express yourself in the form of Mickey ears you'll have a few options. First, head to
Curtain Call Collectibles near the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park where you can have Mickey Ear Hats custom embroidered in a variety of thread colors and thread colors. If you are looking to stick with a Mickey Ear headband
these simple black ears currently on DisneyStore.com and available at the parks make a great option to have personalized.
My friend
Elaine is an expert on having Celebration buttons personalized at
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, but you should be able to have your ears personalized there too. Cast Members can enhance them with text and graphics for a reasonable fee to help your personality and style shine. Many guests also ask their favorite characters to sign these ears when visiting. You'll need to have your own metallic paint makers on hand, and I can't guarantee all characters will be able to sign, but this makes for a fun accessory and souvenir all in one!
I was also very excited by the recent
reel on Disney Parks' Instagram highlighting the new Create Your Own character headband offering soon to arrive at Disneyland Resort. They haven't shared whether these will make their way to Walt Disney World Resort in the future, but I'm hopeful we'll continue to see more options like these in the parks.
If you are seeking more fun apparel options you might also want to consider a custom denim jacket and/or vest. My pal
Lizzie recently visited
Levi's at Disney Springs and had her name and some fringe accents added to a pretty epic Mickey denim jacket. I plan to check out the options on my next visit to see if I can find the perfect fit to suit my style, too!
I hope this helps, Leanne. If you have any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. Here at planDisney helping guests never goes out of style.
Magic and memories,
Amy
