Welcome to planDisney, Robb!
Thanks for bringing your question to us. Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie are big fans of saying "Cheese!" with Guests aboard Disney Cruise Line, so let's talk photos.
Yes, similar to
Walt Disney World Resort's Disney PhotoPass Service, you can purchase individual
photos taken by professional photographers onboard Disney Cruise Line. You have the option of a digital download or a printed photo. Make sure that you present either your Key to the World card or a DisneyBand+ to the photographer so that the photos are linked to your account.
To view your photos, just stop by the Shutters digital photo kiosks. I usually stop by once a day to check out my photos. You can also scan the QR code on the screen and on display around the ship to download the mobile site and view your photos at your convenience. Once you see your photos, you might find that purchasing a package makes more sense in terms of savings.
Another idea is to
pre-purchase a package at a discount price and then,
before you download any photos, you can cancel the package for a refund before the end of your cruise by visiting the Shutters photo desk. Remember, in order to cancel, you must not download any of your photos. You will also need to cancel before the end of your cruise and while you are on the ship. After you cancel the package, you can then download individual photos if you would like. You can purchase a photo package on the website under "
Book / Manage Cruise Activities," after you've paid in full for your cruise and your activity booking window has opened. To receive the discount, you must purchase the advance photo booking at least three days prior to sailing. You have up to 45 days after a photo was captured to download photos by signing in to
Disney Cruise Line Photos.
I hope this helps as you make your plans to be the star of the show, Robb. Let us know if you have other questions; we are here to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
