If I am an adult traveling with a non-biological minor (my child's friend), what specific documentation do I need to bring for that child besides their passport?

    Hi Marianna,

Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question to us. Sounds like your child's friend is one lucky sailor to be able to join your family on your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. I'm happy to help provide some information to make this an easy process.

Minors traveling without their parents or legal guardians are required to submit an Authorization for Minor to Travel without a Parent or Legal Guardian form. The form must be completed by the child's parents or legal guardians and presented, along with the child's government-issued identification, by the designated adult during check-in at the port terminal. Remember, when you disembark the ship at ports of call, you need to have the child's identification and Key to the World card with you.

There is so much for kids to enjoy during a Disney Cruise Line vacation; your crew will have a fantastic time! Be sure to stop by Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab on embarkation day during the open house. You can explore these spaces with your kids to learn more about the engaging and fun activities offered and register them to participate. Check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board the ship for open house hours.

I hope this information helps you check this item off your list, Marianna, so you can focus on the fun! Please let us know if you have other questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
