Can you help me whit sugestions what do do whit the boys? One is a 17 years old and other is 8 tube 9 in the 1 day

Hi there, Rui, and welcome back to planDisney!

Thanks for coming to us with such a great question! My kids are similar ages to yours, so I'd be happy to go over what I enjoy doing with them as a family. It looks like your visit is coming up very soon, so I won't go over anything that involves a lot of planning. When I visit with my kids, I love seeing them have fun together and I think that it's a wonderful bonding opportunity for them to make some core memories. Here are some suggestions that I might recommend for you:

    • Pick up a MagicBand+ for each of them and have them spend some time playing Batuu Bounty Hunters in Galaxy's Edge. This is especially recommended if they are Star Wars fans! I wrote step-by-step instructions on how to play that you can reference if needed.
    • If they are gamers and have access to a smartphone, have them download the Play Disney Parks app. In addition to location based mini-games, there are "achievements" that you can unlock throughout your visit to the Parks which especially caters to gamers.
    • Have them look over the Disney Parks Blog Halloween Foodie Guide and pick a food item that looks good to each of them. Make it a point during the day to grab these items and share it (or not!).
    • Make liberal use of Disney PhotoPass photographers to capture the day, especially since one of them will be celebrating a birthday! Be on the lookout for special Magic Shots, too!
    • Have the caricature artist at the exit to Pirates of the Caribbean create a portrait of the two of them in order to capture this moment in time! One of my favorite souvenirs is a caricature drawing of my son at the stage where he was missing his two front teeth. They captured it perfectly!
    • Spend some time playing the carnival type Games of Pixar Pier. It's really easy to walk away with a cute little souvenir from here, too.
    • There are some attractions that feature competitive scoring, so if they feel like a friendly competition, have them experience WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and Toy Story Midway Mania!
    • Some thrilling attractions that my kids enjoy: Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, Incredicoaster, Radiator Springs Racers, Indiana Jones Adventure, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, and the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Phew! I hope that was helpful for you, Rui. I hope you have a magical visit with your boys, and as always, please write back again if you need anything else!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
    -Al

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
