Hey there, Nathaniel! Welcome to planDisney! Your trip to Walt Disney World is just around the corner! How exciting!
Breakfast at the Contemporary Resort sounds like a great way to kick off a day at the Magic Kingdom. My family has enjoyed the breakfast at Chef Mickey’s, especially the character dining. Being able to see Mickey and his friends before heading into the Magic Kingdom can be a great time-saver and open up your itinerary to other experiences.
The Resort Monorail is going to be your best option for getting from the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) to the Contemporary Resort. I checked the
Day Calendar and it says the Magic Kingdom will be open for early entry at 7:30 AM the day of your visit.
The Monorail should begin operation 30 minutes before the Magic Kingdom opens, which means you can get to the Contemporary Resort in plenty of time.
If you are unable to get a reservation at
Chef Mickey’s or
Steakhouse 71, which are the two restaurants that take breakfast reservations at the Contemporary Resort, then there are some other options with Monorail access that you might consider. There is
‘Ohana or
Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort, which is within walking distance from the TTC and offers Monorail or water taxi service to the Magic Kingdom. Further down the line is
1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort, where you can currently meet Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Princess Tiana! The Grand Floridian has Monorail and water taxi service to the Magic Kingdom, as well as a walking path to the park.
Nathaniel, I hope this information helps with your planning and you find a delicious dining option to start your park day. Come back to planDisney if you have any more questions!
