Welcome EPCOT Terran!
It sounds like you will be navigating your way to
EPCOT during the
runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, Jessica! There’s no cause for alarm; I’ve got you covered with your transportation options to EPCOT on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025. I asked my friend Groot, and of course, he offered “I am Groot” - a thorough and detailed explanation about road closures and important notices for the morning of the half marathon. Piece of cake toast!
If by chance you don’t speak Groot, allow me to translate. EPCOT will have
adjusted park hours on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, with a park opening time of 10:00 AM and Early Entry from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. There are some road closures you will want to make note of if you are driving yourself into EPCOT. You can find a complete list of road closures on the
runDisney Princess Half Marathon Map – Road Closure page. If you are taking Disney transportation from a Disney Resort hotel, the Transportation Cast Member driving the bus will be informed of road closures and will navigate around to ensure your safe arrival at EPCOT.
Typically, the crowds are higher earlier in the day on race Sunday, with them thinning out as the day goes on, with runners and spectators tiring after the early morning race start times. While EPCOT might be busy that Sunday, you will have the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts still taking place, making it well worth the visit. Be sure to check out some of the culinary masterpieces found around EPCOT at the
Food Studios.
The Disney Water Transportation from
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside to
Disney Springs typically starts running at 10:00 AM and ends around 11:30 PM. Please note that these times and hours of operation are subject to change and are dependent on weather and water conditions.
You’re going to have a magical time at
Walt Disney World this May, Jessica! Come back here to planDisney any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
