Hello! I was wondering what the availability was for lactose free milk options for my son (2 Y.O). I saw that some resorts offer soy milk, but was wondering if there were any other options for non-dairy/lactose free milks. Thank you!

    Hi Leah!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so happy you stopped by to see us as you get ready for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.  Each time I visit a Disney destination with my boys, it's full of magic and wonder.  I bet you can't wait to experience The Most Magical Place on Earth with your little one!

Leah, Disney offers a variety of dining options to help guests with dietary restrictions or allergies.  During my recent visits to Disney's All-Star Movies Resort and Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, I noticed soy milk options in the grab-and-go beverage section at the food courts, and I also saw availability listed on several other resort hotel Quick-Service menus.  I chatted with a Cast Member about other lactose-free milk options, and she shared that availability varies widely by location and specific brands or types cannot be guaranteed before arrival.  While she mentioned that soy milk is the most common option at the resort hotels, she also noted that select moderate and deluxe food courts or merchandise shops may carry single-serve almond milk or alternative cartons.

If you prefer a particular brand of lactose-free milk, you could also consider ordering groceries for delivery.  Before placing your order, I recommend checking if you can expect a beverage cooler or an in-room refrigerator at your selected resort so you can plan accordingly.  My panelist pal, Elaine, shared a bit more about this option in a recent answer.  Grocery orders are always a popular choice for our family - giving our boys a few comforts of home while we're on vacation!

planDisney Pro Tip - I like to toss a few small snacks in my bag when heading into the parks each day.  Over the years, I've found these to be really helpful while waiting in line for a ride or for the next parade or show to begin!

I hope this information has been helpful, Leah, and that you enjoy making many magical memories at Walt Disney World!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again - we're all ears!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
