Hi there, Robyn, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you've stopped by with this great question about your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! I think you'll find that Walt Disney World Resort has become increasingly accessible throughout the years, and
Guests with different mobility needs find many helpful accommodations, especially when it comes to transportation.
Robyn, different types of
boats make the journey between Disney Resorts Collection hotels and the Disney Theme Parks. While boats and their availability can differ from what you typically see due to water conditions or other circumstances, you can often expect certain boats on certain routes. The boat that takes the route from Magic Kingdom Park to Fort Wilderness is generally accessible for an ECV. The boat that goes from Magic Kingdom Park to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is typically a different type of boat that requires a step down, and would not be ideal for an ECV. Happily, the
Monorail is an efficient way to get to this Resort, and you can roll right on, no problem.
Did you know that the Walt Disney World Resort buses are ECV-friendly? The bus drivers will be more than happy to help you board with a ramp, and they'll ensure you have a safe ride. All you need to do is relax and enjoy the scenery! The Disney
Skyliner is also accessible, and the Cast Members will be delighted to guide you to a stopped gondola that you can board.
Robyn, I hope this is helpful to you as you count down the final days to your vacation! Please stop by planDisney with any other questions you have!
See ya real soon!
