Tammy from NY Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi! I’ve heard that there is a place in the MDE app that actually tells you the date that you can make dining reservations based on your resort checkin date. Is that true and if so where? Just want to make sure my calculations match Disney’s!

    Hey there, Tammy!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Did you hear that? I think it was my tummy growling just thinking about all of the incredible dining experiences that await you at Walt Disney World Resort! I was just telling another friend that one of my favorite parts of any vacation is the way that we can taste our way through the trip, and a visit to Mickey & his pals is no different. So, let's make sure that you are all set for your Advance Dining Reservations and that you don't miss a thing!

The best answer to your question is: sort of. When you open your My Disney Experience Mobile App and click on the tile that says Reserve Dining, you will next select your party size. After that, a calendar pops up that has the next 60 days highlighted in blue. These are the days that are available to you for Advance Dining Reservations.

Bonus: As a Guest with a reservation at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, your calendar will actually show 60 days PLUS the entire duration of your stay, up to 10 nights. This allows you to book your Advance Dining Reservations all at one time for the length of your vacation, which is an excellent time-saver. I'm so grateful for this!

Tammy, I am not a numbers gal. Rather than count the days in my paper planner, I like to use an online Disney dates calculator to make sure that I don't miss a thing in my planning. You can find several with a quick search.

You might already have your plans ready to go, but I wanted to recommend a few delicious dining options, just in case!

Steakhouse 71 in Disney's Contemporary Resort offers a Vegetable Wellington that I find myself talking about probably more often than someone should even think about an entree. It's just that good!

Tiffins Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is a quiet gem in a beautiful space. Everything tastes so fresh, delicious, and unique. I love the flavors here that are only found in a few other spaces. They also have a robust menu of interesting wines by the glass.

Jaleo by Jose Andres in Disney Springs offers bold flavors with the option to dine on the open-air deck. We have always loved everything we have ever tried here.

Of course, that only scratches the surface of what is available at Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if you need any additional suggestions. We love to talk about dining here at planDisney! We are here for you, Tammy!

    Adventure is out there,

    Sally
