Welcome to planDisney, William!
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is such a magical place. Every time I step foot there, I am mesmerized by the beauty of the grounds and find it hard to believe I’m in Florida and not the Pacific Northwest. It sounds like you and your sweetheart are just as enchanted by this unique Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I bet you can't wait to be "home" soon!
Unfortunately, according to the
rules and regulations for vehicles, carts, and recreation devices at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, electric and electric-assisted bikes are not permitted on property. They simply aren’t allowed at Walt Disney World Resort. I know that’s not what you were hoping to hear, so let me offer some alternatives. Bicycles that are manually powered are allowed, so you could bring those with you instead of your electric bicycles. If you don’t have one, you can always
rent a bike once you arrive. Additionally, you can stop by the Reception Outpost to see if there are any
golf carts available to rent during your stay. It’s likely all golf carts are rented out already since you arrive in just a few days, but it’s definitely worth asking. My fellow Panelist, Amy A., offered another Guest
some additional alternatives to using electric bikes recently as well.
William, I hope you have a splendid time in spite of this not-so-magical news. After all, you’re still going to Walt Disney World Resort, and what could be better than that?
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
