I've heard many descriptions of the opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom each morning, but not the ceremonies at the other parks. Could you please describe them? We've never done any of them and would like try some on our nest trip in late August. Thanks.

    Michele,

These "rope-drops' are really a lot of fun if you are up that early!

At the Animal Kingdom they allow the guests in just across the bridge from the Oasis area onto Discovery Island. There you find Minnie, Donald, and Goofy driving a safari vehicle up to the crowd, preparing for their own adventure. But they can't seem to find Mickey Mouse. Let's just say that his appearance is 'elevating' and makes for a fun entertainment as the time of park opening nears!

At Hollywood Studios guest make their way about halfway down Hollywood Boulevard. There they are entertained by several of the "Streetscape" characters who are in 1920's era attire. A Hollywood Tabloid reporter amuses you as the family that has been randomly selected to open the park shows up chauffeured in a vintage open air car.

As for Epcot, perhaps things have changed. However the last several times I have been there for rope-drop they have done nothing in particular, other than lead you to the area in the center of Future World.

In my estimation, here are the grades:
    Animal Kingdom: A+
    Hollywood Studios: B+
    Magic Kingdom: B+
    Epcot: C-

    I hope that this helps!

    Have a magical vacation!
