About Me

An anesthesiologist specializing in obstetrics, by day I'm the doctor who makes laboring women happy. By night though, I masquerade as my friends' and family's official Disney vacation planner. I'm a self-confessed Anglophile and love a good fairytale -- real or imagined.

In my spare time I love to cook, travel the nation and world, and try new restaurants with my husband. I love planning parties (especially for kids' birthdays) and am obsessed with creating a beautiful home via DIY, renovating and decorating.

About My Family

I gained an instant family when I married a Scotsman who is so much more than his dreamy accent. We’ve since added three more children to the mix, making for a big, boisterous crowd at home. With two teenagers and three younger children, we’re both a mixed martial arts family and a living embodiment of some of Disney’s greatest creations. Our oldest would go to infinity and beyond for his siblings, and our teenage daughter is a quiet but fierce little Belle. Our youngest girl is a Jedi warrior princess in the making, and our twin boys are as obsessed with Mickey as they are recreating scenes from “Coco.” Our already full house and hearts got even more crowded when the newest member of our family arrived: a cavoodle named Hamish, in honor of our Scottish roots and one of our favorite movies, “Brave." We love spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen, and since moving to Florida we’ve spent a lot of time outside, especially in the pool. And of course, we take every opportunity we can to head up to Disney World. There’s nothing nicer than hearing the cheerful "Welcome home!" that greets us each time we arrive at our home away from home.

About My Disney Experience

I first tasted the magic of Disney when I was ten years old, and my mom took me to Disneyland. We were lucky enough to stay at Disneyland Hotel in a room overlooking the park, and I will never forget the pure wonder I felt watching the fireworks from that hotel window. I’ve been hooked ever since! I have lost track of how many times I’ve visited, and I’ve even been known to pick my medical conferences based on their Disney Destinations.
We joined Disney Vacation Club the first Christmas after we were married when we took our two oldest children to Disney World as a Christmas surprise. Staying on property, with the flexibility to fit our family's style and budget, was a no-brainer!
Our home resorts are Animal Kingdom Villas (we love the animals, and the food there is our favorite on property) and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (where we enjoy the proximity to Magic Kingdom).
Since moving to Florida, we’ve taken full advantage of our proximity to Disney World and the Dole Whips at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. We’ve stayed at almost every Disney Vacation Club property and love them all, and we can't wait to experience the new Disney's Riviera Resort.
