Currently, Disney’s water parks operate on a rotational basis to ensure they stay in tip-top shape. When one park is open, the other undergoes renovations and maintenance, keeping everything shipshape for visitors. Recently,
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park was open from November 2023 to March 2024 while Typhoon Lagoon was closed for renovations. Typhoon Lagoon then reopened in March 2024 for the spring and summer seasons, while Blizzard Beach closed for its refurbishment. This rotation continues annually, allowing each park to shine and ensuring they both offer pristine experiences for all guests.
Given this rotational schedule, if things don’t change it’s likely that Typhoon Lagoon will be open in May 2025. However, it’s always best to check Disney’s park operating hours and the Disney Parks Blog closer to your travel dates for the most accurate information.
