I am heading to Disney on May 3rd 2024 and purchased the park hopper plus option. Will Blizzard Beach be ooen by then?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Dionne! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you submitted your question today! Just like Jiminy Cricket, I am happy to "be your guide!".

Ah phooey! Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park closed its doors temporarily a few weeks ago. However, Hakuna Matata! Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is open and welcoming guests! Let's look at some of the attractions that will make for a "splashin'" good time:

    • Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool: The largest wave pool in North America (fun fact!). Did you know you can participate in surf lessons? If catching waves is up your alley, this would be a fun activity!
    • Crush 'n' Gusher: For the thrill seekers in your group, this attraction should be at the top of your list! Make a splash going down a 400-ft tube slide!
    • Ketchakiddee Creek: For the Mouseketeers in your group, this is the perfect area to make a splash and enjoy all the fun under the sun!

My final two tips for enjoying the perfect day at Typhoon Lagoon are:

    • Sand Pail Sundae: For a sweet treat that's perfect for the whole family, purchase a Sand Pail Sundae at Happy Landings Ice Cream. You will get a sand pail bucket (yes, a bucket!) full of ice cream and toppings!
    • Typhoon Lagoon Umbrellas: Reserve a spot that serves as a home base for everyone in your group! The umbrellas come with two reserved lounge chairs, two beach chairs, towels, and a drink table.

Dionne, I hope all of this information was useful today! Thank you again for visiting planDisney, and I hope your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is full of magic and pixie dust!

    Happy Planning!
