Bright Suns Angela,
Welcome to planDisney! There is no better place to celebrate Star Wars Day than Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Raising my lightsaber with all the other Jedis, Padawans, Rebels, and Sith Lords is on my bucket list.
Most travelers to Batuu tend to dress in disguise as Earth tourists to avoid detection from the First Order, but now and then, a proud Twi’lek with their lekku prominently displayed. After speaking to a Cast Member, I learned that lekku and other headpieces are generally allowed to be worn, provided a mask, full paint, or full Twi’lek makeup does not accompany them. Given your planned outfit description, you should have no problem gaining entry to Hollywood Studios, especially on Star Wars Day when most travelers wear Star Wars-inspired attire. With that said Angela Cast Members at the front gate reserve the right to prohibit you from wearing your lekku. The current
policies can change without notice, so I recommend bringing a backup outfit just in case.
I hope this was helpful, Angela. Before I let you go, don’t forget to visit the
Disney Parks Blog regularly; there, you will find details about this year’s celebration, including what
exclusive snacks and merchandise are available when they are announced. A dear friend picked me up a Bronze Batuuan Spira Credit last year to add to my collection, which was released for the festivities. Since it is a gift card, I’ve been able to reuse it repeatedly.
May the Force Be With You, and Happy Planning!
