Howdy, Mark! Thanks for moseying on over to planDisney! It sounds like you’re gearing up for a rootin’ tootin’ adventure at
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground! Each campsite at Fort Wilderness comes equipped with a charcoal grill and a picnic table, perfect for rustlin’ up some grub. I checked with Guest Services, and they’ve confirmed that only charcoal briquettes are permitted for use on those grills so, unfortunately, wood-burning fires aren’t allowed. But don’t worry, partner! You can grab charcoal and other supplies at the
Meadow and
Settlement Trading Posts right on property.
If you’re looking to hang up your cowboy hat and let someone else do the cooking, I highly recommend the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. It’s a hootin’, hollerin’ dinner show with all-you-care-to-enjoy fried chicken, ribs, and all the fixin’s. And for a real campfire experience, round up the family for
Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long. Here, you can roast marshmallows, make s’mores, and even meet those two mischievous chipmunks around a real wood-burning fire.
I hope this helps you plan your Wild West getaway at Fort Wilderness! If you have any more questions, saddle up and ask away.
Happy trails,
Eean
