Ahoy Paige!
Thanks for sailing over to planDisney with your question. I'd be happy to help!
My family just completed a sailing on
Disney Wish earlier this month, and we were captivated by the beauty of the ship and the exquisite decor at almost every turn. From the moment we entered the Great Hall until we tucked into our comfy stateroom beds each evening, we were truly impressed with every detail! Speaking of staterooms, did you know that there are different Character themes featured depending on which
stateroom you're in? We had beautiful artwork from
Frozen in ours but Cinderella, Moana, and Rapunzel are among the others featured across the ship. It was a fun surprise when we first entered!
Depending on the sailing and room category selected, you may see an option to book a Guaranteed Stateroom (GTY). If this is what you have booked, or are planning to book you won't be able to select a particular stateroom or location on the ship. Rest assured you will be assigned a stateroom that is in the category you've chosen or higher. My fellow panelist
Sherry shared some great insights on Guaranteed Staterooms, which may put your mind at ease.
If you have yet to book your sailing and it's important for you to select your exact stateroom, you'll need to review the remaining categories available for your specific voyage. If you have already reserved a Guaranteed Stateroom for your upcoming June sailing, you won't be able to make any changes at this time. It never hurts to
contact a Cast Member and note your preference to be near the other members of your travel party, but requests are never guaranteed, particularly in the case of GTY category rooms.
When we sail with
Disney Cruise Line we are usually only in our staterooms to shower and sleep. There's so much to do and see onboard you may not be bothered even if your travel party's staterooms are on different decks. Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before you board the ship so you'll be ready to review all the exciting activities that await you each day. Your sailing is part of the
Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration, so I'm sure there will be many amazing things in store!
Stop back and ask us more questions as you prepare for your voyage.
"Sea" you real soon,
Amy
