Hey Howdy Hey Megan and welcome to planDisney!
It is exciting to hear that you and your group will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort later this spring. Thank you for stopping by with your question on the recent changes to
Theme Park Reservations for Walt Disney World. I will be happy to review the changes and get you set for your upcoming trip.
You are correct Megan, that Disney did recently update their policy on Theme Park Reservations. For most people, the purchase of
date-base tickets no longer needs reservations to get into the parks. These types of tickets are usually bought online through the Disney site. Individuals with Annual Passes and other much less common tickets may need reservations to enter the parks, but most parkgoers will no longer need them.
The other recent change from Disney applies to the
Park Hopper Option. In the past, you were not able to use the Park Hopper Option until mid-afternoon. Disney has recently updated this policy as well and there are no current time restrictions to park hopping.
There have been quite a few changes to the Disney Parks experience this year, two of the big ones that we covered with park access. With your upcoming trip, you might want to follow Disney Parks on social media as well as keep up with all the latest developments on
Disney Parks Blog. Here you can read all about the excitement around things like the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival happening from February 28th to May 27th this year. You can usually find the top locations for some of the greatest food and drink offerings as well as information on all there is to offer at this phenomenal celebration of a new growing season.
I hope this helps clarify the policy around reservations and now you can get back to planning your amazing trip! Please feel free to reach back out if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
