Are there grills available at non vacation club resorts?

    Welcome to planDisney, Abby!

Like you, I like to make sure I plan my Walt Disney World Resort vacation right down to meals and snacks. I know my family is happiest with full tummies, and I have a picky eater who could happily live on hot dogs. Fun fact: I can tell you where the closest hot dog is from any location in a Walt Disney World theme park.

At this time, grills are only available at select Disney Vacation Club resorts and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. My pal Rayna provides grill locations for you in this helpful answer; if you’re still shopping for a resort, the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa have dedicated grills for each treehouse. A stay in a Disney treehouse is a bucket list item for me!

Abby, if you're hoping to save a little money on dining, Samantha provides some good budget-friendly dining suggestions in this answer. She also shares one of my favorite tips: ordering groceries to your resort room. My family almost always orders staples for breakfasts and snacks, and we bring a cooler bag with sandwiches, fresh fruit, and cheese for my picky eater. Be sure to check the Park Rules to ensure your cooler is the appropriate size, and pack freezer bags to fill with ice to keep your items cool.

If you’re hankering for some good barbecue and your resort hotel doesn’t have the facilities, I have some recommendations. At EPCOT, stop by Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue, which serves up fantastic barbecue options. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you’ll find drool-worthy barbecue at Flame Tree Barbecue. Their baked macaroni and cheese with pulled pork is incredible! If you head to Disney Springs, don’t miss The Polite Pig. Whew, my mouth is watering now.
