Hi Mary!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so glad to hEAR that you love Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! One of our “homes” at Walt Disney World is
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, and not only do we love the modern rustic vibe of the Resort, but we adore it’s proximity to
Magic Kingdom Park!
Disney Vacation Club does a fantastic job of making you feel like you are at home while you are visiting. One of the ways they do this is by giving you the chance to cook your meals. Sometimes after a long day in the Parks, the very best thing is to have a typical dinner at “home”! As you know,
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has a Barbeque area as well as several of the other hotels. We stay at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa often, and it has three (!) charcoal grill locations!
The Treehouse Villas at the Resort is also a fantastic option because each Villa has a grill. Speaking of individual grills,
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort also have their own grills.
The first Disney Vacation Club Resort we visited was
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House. While we were there, it seemed like every time we were outside, someone was taking advantage of their grilling area! Almost all of the
other Disney Vacation Club properties also have places for a cookout, with the exceptions being Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows (but you have
‘Ohana, so no need!),
Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and the upcoming
Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Mary, I hope this helps you choose your next “home.” chEARs to a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Rayna
