Howdy, Stacy!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is my favorite Resort at Walt Disney World! You can often find us tent camping during the cooler times of the year or in a cabin when it's warmer out. There is nothing better than sleeping under the stars while being so close to the Disney magic. I love hearing the whistle of the trains from the
Walt Disney World Railroad at Magic Kingdom Park.
This resort is in the
Moderate Resort Hotel category, so unfortunately, guests staying at Fort Wilderness are not eligible for the
Extended Theme Park Evening Hours since it is only available to Deluxe Resort Hotel guests.
There are lots of fun things to do at night around Fort Wilderness. Grab a chair at the marina down by Pioneer Hall to watch the
Electrical Water Pageant nightly.
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is a family favorite, so we love to hang out with this fun duo while roasting marshmallows. Stick around afterwards for the
Movie Under the Stars. My kids also love driving around in our golf cart at night to check out all the decorated campsites.
Speaking of
golf carts, I highly recommend renting one if you haven't already. They are the best mode of transportation around the campground. Access for cars is very limited, so you'll be able to park closer to all of the activities and amenities with a golf cart.
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
