Hi Lauren! Welcome to planDisney! It's great to have you stop by!
One of my favorite things to do on a
Walt Disney World visit is to explore the various Disney Resorts Hotels. Each one offers incredible theming and amazing dining locations, which include both table service and quick service options.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is by far one of the premier resorts, especially for its dining.
When traveling directly to a resort that you are not staying at, typically you will need an Advanced Dining Reservation to guarantee that you can be dropped off here. Since you plan on eating at
Gasparilla Island Grill, which is a quick-service restaurant located at the Grand Floridian Resort, reservations are not accepted. However, you can place a mobile order for this dining location before arriving onsite. When you arrive at the guard shack, let the Cast Member know of your order and your intentions to eat here. It will be their discretion if they allow your rideshare to drop you off. If you are turned away or do not want to risk it, you can get dropped off at the Ticket and Transportation Center and take the resort monorail to the Grand Floridian Resort. Once here you can explore the resort and head down to Gasparilla Island Grill to enjoy a delicious breakfast!
When it comes time to leave, you can request your rideshare to pick you up directly from the Grand Floridian Resort. You can also utilize Disney Transportation to check out the neighboring resorts by
boat or monorail. My family loves to take a day out of our stay to fully enjoy as many Deluxe Disney Resorts as we can. Each one has a ton to offer, including specific merchandise only found at certain locations!
Lauren, I hope this helps you navigate your upcoming stay!
See ya real soon!
