I'm happy to share that I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed for me that yes, you can bring a portable charcoal, gas or propane grill with you if you'd prefer to use your own instead of the ones provided by Disney. It must stay outside, and it must have a secure fitting lid. It's also best to make sure it's being closely monitored at all times when lit. Please keep in mind that Cast Members always have the final say on what's allowed, prioritizing safety. I'm sure all of your neighbors will be jealous of the delicious-smelling food you're going to prepare. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
If, while you're staying there, you decide to take a break from doing your own cooking, I highly recommend a visit to
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue if you can snag a reservation. It's a slapstick-style comedy musical dinner show featuring The Pioneer Hall Players. The food is yummy, and the entertainment can't be beat. You might even find yourself up on stage with the performers. Make sure you save room for the straw-strawberry-strawberry shortcake.
Crockett's Tavern is also a great place for some small bites and drinks, especially if you'd like to wet your whistle on some moonshine cocktails, no reservation needed.
