Will the boat to Wilderness Lodge run late on MNSSHP night assuming weather allows? Debating if I should switch to WL from GF to save some money but don't want to have to take a bus after.

Magical greetings, Jennifer, and allow me to wish you a very warm welcome back to planDisney. Your trip is getting so close, and pretty soon you'll be able to hear the horns on the Walt Disney World Water Transportation in the distance. I always love that sound, especially early in the morning when the resort is just waking up. Sometimes there's even fog rolling across Bay Lake, and I like to drink my coffee on my balcony at Disney's Wilderness Lodge while contemplating the day ahead. I'm so glad you asked this question. I'm thrilled to talk about my favorite Disney Resort hotel any chance I get.

When I say Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort, I really mean it. My family and I have stayed there almost once a year, sometimes more than once, since it opened back in 1994. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest, its architecture is akin to that of another famous hotel in one of our beloved National Parks. While you're there, seek out the activities schedule. On it, you'll likely find a tour of the lodge offered. It's worth making time to take it, especially if you have a resort day planned.

Now about your question. I'm happy to share that yes, boat transportation should be running up until approximately an hour after Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ends. I've taken it after many a party. Of course, all things are subject to change, but I've never experienced a time when it wasn't running. You probably already know this, but the Wilderness Lodge shares a boat dock with The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Watch the signs closely to make sure you get in the right line for your boat. I'd hate for you to wind up at the campground instead. It's a lovely place and all, definitely worth exploring, just maybe not following an action-packed party after midnight.

Jennifer, I hope you have a fantastic time during your upcoming trip. You know where to find us if you have any other questions we can help with.

    Grab hold of your dreams!
