Hi Iris,
Thanks for bringing us another great question. I can't think of a more magical destination for such a special occasion and I'm happy to help you all celebrate. To get the party started right make sure your niece picks up a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button from her resort's front desk or at Guest Relations in the parks when she arrives.
If you haven't already seen them, be sure to check out the
beautiful floral and balloon options available online. These can be ordered through a preferred third-party vendor for delivery to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. While these options will need to be picked up from the
Front Desk and can't be delivered directly to your room, they would make a perfect surprise for your newly legal niece.
If you will be joining in the festivities you can sneak in to decorate the room before she enters. There are several
incredible lounges on property (I recommend a stop at Enchanted Rose) and plenty of
beverages to help her celebrate her way around World Showcase at EPCOT to keep her distracted while you get the room birthday-ready. Be sure to check out some of
my favorite adult offerings to continue the fun after the big reveal.
You are also welcome to bring your own decorations to make the room fit for this magical celebration, but please note that guests should not decorate their doors. Instead, consider bringing suction cups to hang a banner across the room and window clings to make the windows feel festive. I loved walking around
Disney's Pop Century Resort during a past stay to admire all the creative decorations in guests' windows in honor of the weekend's
runDisney events. Years back, my family decorated our window at
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort with all the holiday trimmings during our visit over Christmas break. Feel free to get creative but please don't bring anything that could potentially peel the finish off of any of your room's furnishings and fixtures.
I hope this helps, Iris. Please come back and see us with any other planning questions. Wishing you a fantastic celebration next month!
Magic and memories,
Amy
