Good morning! First, I’m so excited Disney has added pet friendly accommodations since our last visit as we typically travel with our pups. Here’s our problem… we have 3 and the policy says 2 max. Do you know if exceptions are made?

Hi there, Mildred! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Pluto and I are paws-itively thrilled you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World and even more excited that your furry friends might be joining in the fun!

As a fellow dog mom, I completely understand how important it is to know that your pups are safe, happy, and nearby while you’re on vacation. It’s such a relief that Walt Disney World now offers pet-friendly accommodations at select Resorts. It’s a tail-wagging dream come true for those of us who hate leaving our four-legged family members behind!

I did speak with a friendly Cast Member in Resort Reservations today, and unfortunately, the policy of a two-dog maximum per Guest room is firm, with no exceptions. The only way to accommodate more than two dogs on-site would be to book a second room, but that’s not always ideal, especially if it means splitting up your group or increasing your budget.

But here’s the good news...I found an alternative that might be the pawfect solution for your pack! Best Friends Pet Hotel is located right on Walt Disney World property, just across the road from Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. It’s adorable, Disney-themed, and offers a variety of accommodations, including spacious vacation villas and suites that can comfortably welcome all three of your pups together.

What I especially love about Best Friends is the peace of mind it provides. While you’re enjoying your time in the parks, your dogs will be supervised, have access to play areas, and even enjoy optional activities like group playtime or one-on-one attention. And if you’re anything like me and miss your pups the second you leave the room, each unit is equipped with a PetChatz Webcam, so you can check in or chat with your fur babies anytime; kind of like FaceTiming for pets!

If you don’t have a car with you, don’t worry! There’s even round-trip shuttle service available from select Disney Resorts for a small fee, which makes the whole experience easy and convenient.

I hope this helps bring you a little peace of mind as you plan your magical getaway, Mildred. Here’s to happy tails, magical memories, and a vacation that’s fun for every member of the family, paws and all!

Wishing you lots of pixie dust (and puppy kisses),
