Hi MaCaedyn! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
I often enter security with a coffee in hand, hop on the
Disneyland Monorail, and enjoy the views as we soar overhead, headed for Disneyland Park. It's a pretty magical start to the day, and the monorail drops you off right in the heart of Tomorrowland, which is super convenient. I can happily report that there are no prohibitions against bringing your favorite foods and beverages onto the iconic monorail.
However,
security rules do apply since you'll have to pass through to climb aboard. No alcoholic beverages and no glass containers are allowed. Also, no loose ice, so either choose something that doesn't need refrigeration or use an ice pack. Otherwise, you're good to go! Enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, juice, and a quick treat from The Coffee House in Disneyland Hotel if you like. I'd also suggest a
refillable water bottle as a really good choice for your park bag. Even in cooler months, it's important to stay hydrated.
The
Disneyland Railroad in Disneyland Park is less of a speedy mode of transportation and more of a leisurely Attraction with great views and some surprises along the way. It's a good chance to rest your feet and a favorite of my train-loving boys. Enjoy your treats and drinks before or after you experience park Attractions. I suggest tucking your cookie or other festive treat away in a park bag if you're not yet ready to finish enjoying it before enjoying an Attraction. Carrying disposable resealable bags is also a useful way to store items you've purchased and want to eat later.
Also, please be aware that the Disneyland Monorail is closing for refurbishment in early January and the Disneyland Railroad will also be closing a little later that month. These details are subject to change, but you can keep up to date in the
Daily Events Schedule.
I hope this helps!
Elizabeth
