Hello, I would appreciate it if you could answer urgently. We, as 2 adults and 2 children, want to enter Disneyland on December 29th. There are no tickets left for these dates. If I buy an open ticket, is it possible not to use it for that day?

Hi Ulucay! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

Guests of Disneyland Resort currently need a valid admission ticket and a theme park reservation for the park and day of their choice. While popular days can fill up, I checked, and at this time, there's availability at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. I hope that's good news! You might see no availability only if you're trying to purchase a discounted ticket offer that isn't good until January. There are a few of these available for sale but not yet valid for use in the parks.

I can walk you through your standard admission tickets online purchase. Otherwise, call the Tickets phone line. A Cast Member can assist you with your purchase. They're always ready to help in any way they can! Have your method of payment ready when you make the call. Credit, debit, and Disney Gift Cards are all conveniently accepted.

To purchase online, navigate to the Buy Theme Park Tickets page. You'll want a "Standard Theme Park Ticket" which is selected by default. If you're only visiting for one day, click "1" when asked to select your number of days and then select the number of adults and children in your party. Children must be 9 or younger. Children under the age of 3 have complimentary access to the parks. When you're finished, you'll be asked to select your ticket type. If you only wish to visit one park, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, choose "One Park Per Day." If you'd like to explore both, you'll want the "Park Hopper" option for an additional cost. Click "Continue" to be taken to the next page.

Now you'll be making your theme park reservation. Click your preferred park day on the calendar. One-day tickets are priced by Tier. Your preferred day is Tier 6. Prices and terms are subject to change. Next, select your park by clicking either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. While both are currently available, this is a popular time of year and that could change quickly. I suggest you make your admission ticket purchase as soon as possible to avoid your preferred date or park filling up. Finally, scroll down and click "Continue" yet again.

You'll have the option to add Lightning Lane Multi Pass or a Parking Voucher on the final page before payment. Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a fantastic option that my family always selects. It allows you to spend less time waiting in queues and more time focused on the fun. If you don't select it in advance, you can possibly add it on the day of using the Disneyland mobile app. Prices are subject to change and the price you see today in the app might be different than what appears after scanning in on your park day.

Once you've completed your purchase by following the onscreen prompts, you should receive an e-mail confirmation. Your tickets should be linked to the MyDisney account you used to make the purchase and can be found in the app. The app will be your handy tool to scan into the parks, check wait times, order food and beverages with mobile ordering at select locations, and more.

I just know you're going to have the merriest time! Check out the Daily Events Schedule, which has great information to help you plan your day. From parades to fireworks, you'll be able to sketch out all the magical details. While these are subject to change, it's incredibly useful. You don't want to miss a thing this season.

    I hope this helps.
