We just go off an nyc Disney cruise and put a placeholder. We would have cruised again if nyc itineraries were in the future. I hope Disney decided to add them as we would not cruise out of any other port. We’re in nj and it’s so convenient.

    Hi Lee,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question.

I TOTALLY understand where you’re coming from. In 2018, Disney Cruise Line offered two sailings that came all the way to Quebec City, which is about a 3-hour drive from where I live. I absolutely loved boarding that cruise in my home province, and then sailing her all the way back to your “home” port, New York City

I was pretty surprised to see that there were no sailings currently scheduled out of that port in the fall of 2024. That said, based on past experience, fall 2025 sailings should be announced relatively early in 2024, so please keep your eyes peeled for that announcement. New York City is a very popular port, so I’d be surprised if Disney doesn’t choose to sail out of the Big Apple (or a port nearby) in the future. While the new sailings will obviously be announced at the Disney Cruise Line website, there will also likely be a post over at the Disney Parks Blog with some more information, too.

Remember that you have up to 24 months to use your placeholder booking, so even a cruise in the early fall of 2025 should qualify, depending on when your cruise this year took place.

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect voyage for you and your family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
