    I tried scheduling a character call for my upcoming Disney cruise. Nothing happens when I hit 1 as directed and the call eventually disconnects.

    Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

    I’m really sorry to hear that you’re having trouble setting up a Complimentary Character Call for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. The best way that I’ve found to set them up is via the Disney Cruise Line website, rather than by phone. 

    First, visit the “My Reservations” page, which you’ll find under the “Already Booked” tab. Then, choose the reservation (if you have more than one) for which you’d like to receive your call and scroll almost to the end of the page. You’ll find a tile that says: “Complimentary Character Call.” Click on that, enter your details and your call should be booked and ready to go. 

    If that still doesn’t work, I’d recommend that you reach out to Disney Cruise line either by phone or by email in order to see whether they can help with some more information about your reservation and sailing. 

    Don’t forget that you can use this part of the Disney Cruise Line webpage to set up all kinds of goodies for your upcoming voyage, including Onboard Gifts, and special requests that may help make your cruise even more magical.
