Hi Nicole,
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question! I love sharing dining tips with my fellow Disney Cruise Line Guests.
One thing there is not a lack of onboard a Disney cruise is delicious dining! From the
Rotational Dining restaurants to
quick service and snack offerings on the pool deck to the
all-you-care-to-eat locations to the
adult-exclusive specialty dining restaurants–and let's not forget complimentary
Room Service–you will never go hungry!
In my experience, to-go boxes aren't necessary if you are simply hoping to save some food for later since your next meal or snack is just around the corner. There is no way to reheat meals and the refrigerators aren't designed to keep food for long, so it makes keeping food in your Stateroom a challenge. Exceptions might be if a member of your party isn't feeling well or if you would like to enjoy your dessert in your stateroom or another location. In which case, ask your server if you can have the food to go. Most of the time, this will be offered in a "room-service style" rather than a "to-go box." Nicole, while I would love to give you a definitive "yes or no," the best answer is that you would need to ask your Rotational Dining team on the ship.
If you would like to order Room Service, you can find the menu in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. There are plenty of complimentary options and a few that are available for an extra charge. Keep in mind that soft drinks are free at the beverage stations on the pool deck, but are an extra charge when ordered from Room Service.
I hope this is helpful as you plan, Nicole. Stop by any time with other questions you may have!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
