How do give my onlinytickets to someone else

Hi there, Steve, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to use the Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets that you've purchased. I realize that life can get in the way sometimes but I hope that you can make your way back to the Happiest Place on Earth sometime in the future!

Tickets usually have quite long shelf lives, but if you know that you won't be using them, gifting them to another Guest is an excellent way of making sure that they get used and appreciated. According to the Ticket Terms and Conditions, tickets may not be resold but you may gift them to someone else as long as the tickets have not yet been activated.

It's really easy to link the tickets to another person's Disneyland account. There are two methods by which you can do this:

    1. Use the Disneyland Mobile App. On the recipient's phone, have them press the "☰" Features Menu at the bottom and scroll down until you see "Link to Account." Press that button and on the next screen, they may use their phone's camera function to scan the ticket to link it to their account so they may use it.
    2. From the Disneyland website, reveal the drop down menu under "My Disneyland" and select the option to "Link Tickets." They will have to manually enter the ticket ID number this way.

Once the ticket is linked, they will be able to go in and Make or Modify Park Reservations to arrange their visit. Keep in mind that the ticket will still bear your name, but that should be fine because the name on the ticket doesn't need to match the user. The only time that Cast Members will request ID would be for military tickets or location based tickets like the Southern California Resident Ticket

Steve, I hope that explanation helped and that you are able to pass on the ticket to someone else. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write again anytime. We'd love to hear from you and you're always welcome at planDisney!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
