Welcome to planDisney, Simon, and thanks for this great question! You'll be traveling across the pond soon, so I hope you're ready for some
Walt Disney World Resort magic. Let's look at the new policies regarding theme park reservations to see how they apply to your tickets.
As of a few weeks ago, most date-based theme park tickets do not need theme park reservations. It sounds like you have the
Disney Magic Ticket which required you to choose a start date at the time of purchase. If that's the case, then you do not have to make theme park reservations. As long as you are within your use window for your ticket, you can start your day at any theme park you choose. My favorite park to start my day is
Magic Kingdom Park. Seeing Cinderella Castle sparkle in the morning sun takes my breath away.
Another change is that you can now "hop" to another park any time of the day. You don't need to wait until 2:00 PM! Those Disney Magic Tickets come with the
Park Hopper option, so I hope you take advantage of the complimentary
Disney Transportation to visit more than one park a day. I love traveling between
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
EPCOT because I can take the Disney Skyliner, a friendship boat, or walk between the parks.
Simon, as Mary Poppins might say, you'll have a practically perfect time! Please
stop by planDisney with any other questions. We'd love to help!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
