I am a Girl Scout troop leader that is just starting the planning for a group of 36 ppl. How and where do I start?

    Hiya Stephanie!

Welcome to planDisney! As a Cub Scout mom and Den Leader I want to commend you for beginning the planning of a very magical outing. I recently was able to help another Girl Scout Troop leader plan a trip for her troop and I hope I can help you as well.

Your troop looks to be much larger and could benefit from reaching out to Disney Destination Gatherings first. They would be able to secure Disney Resort room arrangements and set up special events. Maybe a lovely dinner or dessert party would be a great way to celebrate together? If so, then the Cast Members here will be able to assist. They might also guide you to the Disney Imagination Campus which has Student Group Ticket options and potentially a learning activity for the kids. It's always a great idea to find ways to earn patches. In years past, Walt Disney World has given out patches for participating in youth programs and I hope to see them return! Keep an eye out as well on the Disney Parks Blog in case an announcement occurs before your trip!

I hope this helps and that you all find ways to continue inspiring young girls to be strong, brave, and leaders of the future! To leave with you with wise words I hope you share with the troop from my dear Princess Cinderella: "I want to tell you a secret that will see you through all the trials that life can offer: Have courage and be kind."

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
