Welcome, Rodrigo!
It’s great to see you here at planDisney, and I love that you’re planning such a special trip with your large group! This is sure to be a vacation for the memory book, and I’m thrilled to help you get organized for a practically perfect resort stay at Walt Disney World. The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is my home resort as a Disney Vacation Club Member, and I’m honored to share more details of Disney’s flagship resort with you. As you may know, you do not have to be a Disney Vacation Club Member to enjoy the delights of this gorgeous resort, so let's see what's possible for you!
Unfortunately, the 2 Bedroom Villa – Standard View sleeps a maximum of nine Guests (or nine adults and one infant) so this cannot accommodate your travel group as you described. These beautiful villas have a king bed, two queen beds, a queen sleep sofa, and a single pull-down bed but your total Guest count exceeds that which is allowed for this particular room type.
Good news, you can be a little creative and reserve two rooms for your stay by booking a 2-Bedroom Villa and a Deluxe Studio for your group to accommodate your ten Guests. Both room types would be available in a Standard or Lake View. This option would give you the full kitchen and laundry facility of a 1 Bedroom with the additional bathroom and sleeping space of a Deluxe Studio. You can contact Disney to request the rooms be nearby and potentially have a connecting interior door as adjoining rooms, or just be located very near each other.
The 1 Bedroom Villa plus a Deluxe Studio option would provide the following sleeping configurations, in total:
- 1 king bed in master bedroom of a 1 Bedroom Villa
- 1 queen sleep sofa in living room of a 1 Bedroom Villa
- 1 single pull-down bed in living room of a 1 Bedroom Villa
- 1 queen bed, 1 queen sofa, and 1 single pull-down bed in a Deluxe Studio
Please don't hesitate to give Disney a call for additional support in finding dates where these special villas are available for you.
I just returned from a lovely week at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and it remains as special as ever, Rodrigo! The iconic white buildings and stunning red roof against the Florida blue sky is truly magical. I love the location and convenience of this resort, where you can easily walk or catch a monorail or boat to Magic Kingdom Park. You can enjoy evening fireworks from two different viewing locations at the resort, where the music from the nighttime spectacular is played for a special experience. And of course, each evening you’ll be greeted with the charm and tradition of the Electrical Water Pageant, a whimsical floating parade of lights and music on the Seven Seas Lagoon!
I hope you are able to reserve a space that suits your needs for this special vacation with your large group. Please let us know what other questions you have as you start to put together this wonderful trip! Did you know we also answer questions in Portuguese? Feel free to ask additional questions on our Portuguese site or continue to visit us here in English as you’ve done.
Wishing you a GRAND and magical stay,
Amy
