Hi Brian and welcome to planDisney! First off, congratulations are in order! It makes me happy to know that you’ve found your happily ever after. And having the opportunity to celebrate it at
Walt Disney World is certainly a core memory you and your partner will have for years to come.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, which extend to non-theme park areas such as
Disney’s Boardwalk, prohibit photography, videotaping, or recording of any kind for unapproved commercial purposes. I certainly understand wanting to take wedding portraits at the Boardwalk as it’s certainly an iconic location and one that my family has made some of our own memories at during past trips.
But don’t fret!
Walt Disney World Swan &
Dolphin hotels provide some great views of
EPCOT and the surrounding parks and Resorts. In particular, the Vue Terrace offers some great views with Spaceship Earth in the distance. I would suggest talking to the wedding team there about advice and suggestions they may have to best incorporate the surrounding areas as part of your wedding portraits. And don’t forget about incorporating some of that Disney magic for your wedding like an appearance from Mickey and Minnie!
