Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one of my Disney Vacation Club home resorts, so I could talk about this amazing resort hotel all day!
It sounds like you have a reservation at
Whispering Canyon Cafe, right off the lobby at
Wilderness Lodge. I had brunch there last year after finishing the
runDisney Springtime Surprise 10-Miler, and it was the perfect post-race meal. The all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets are incredible!
Standard self-parking is complimentary for guests with a resort hotel dining reservation. When you get to the security booth at the entrance of the parking area, a Cast Member will typically ask for your name to confirm your dining reservation (though I like to have the reservation pulled up in the
My Disney Experience app in case they need the reservation number).
When you’re at Wilderness Lodge, be sure to walk around the tranquil grounds and check out Fire Rock Geyser (it typically erupts on the hour). Another one of my favorite hidden gems is over at the
Boulder Ridge Villas building. When you walk in, off to the side, you’ll find the
Carolwood Pacific Room, dedicated to Walt Disney’s love of trains. There are lots of old photos of Walt and, the best part, original cars from his backyard miniature railway!
