Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Olivia! Thanks a bunch for stopping by planDisney. It looks like you're in the home stretch of your countdown to a most magical adventure at
Walt Disney World Resort--I am sure you're getting excited! Now I invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair, as planDisney proudly presents...plant-based dining!
My oldest daughter is a vegetarian, so we are always on the lookout for options to make sure she can have a great meal wherever we dine at The Most Magical Place on Earth. A resource that has come in handy for us recently is this
guide to the plant-based options currently featured on the menus at Walt Disney World. It's been really helpful for us to review before I make our advance dining reservations so she's certain there are items on the menu she can enjoy.
Be Our Guest Restaurant is such a fun setting for a meal and makes you feel immersed in the world of
Beauty and the Beast! Olivia, you'll notice that the French Onion Soup from the menu at Be Our Guest is
not listed in the plant-based dining guide (the Potato-Leek Soup--my personal favorite--is a vegetarian choice). Because I had seen the French Onion mentioned in some online resources for Guests following vegetarian diets, I went to the source to speak with some Cast Members. They told me this dish likely features chicken stock in its current iteration, and recommended that you request to speak to a chef when you check in for your reservation so they can review the menu with you and create a meal fit for a princess! In my experience, the Disney chefs go above and beyond to ensure that Guests can have a memorable meal, regardless of any dietary restrictions or allergies.
I hope this information is helpful and that you have a wonderful time dining in the Beast's Castle! Thank you again for visiting planDisney, and please come and see us again if we can assist with any last-minute questions to make your vacation as magical as can be.
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
